When we return on Monday, we'll have just TWO AND A HALF WEEKS until the winter break! And with all the other things we have planned during that time, we really have to work hard to do all the learning that needs to be done in that short amount of time.
In class, we'll continue our study of fractions, focusing this month on the relationships between decimals and fractions. In social studies, we'll be researching the many battles of the Revolutionary War to find out the course of events that led the weaker American army to victory. And in science, we'll continue our study of energy, focusing on light and sound.
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! There are a lot of other...less than academic....things that will be going on this month.
On Monday, be sure to turn in your Candy Gram orders to send a candy treat to a friend or relative in the school!

Then on Tuesday and Wednesday, those of you in the Nutcracker need to plan to stay after school for our dress rehearsal! Come in full costume on Wednesday!
On Thursday, it's time for our fourth and fifth grade Winter Dance!

The following week, get ready for three days of Nutcracker performances! Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 PM and Friday during the school day!

During the last week before the break, we'll be even busier! First, on Monday is our December Pay Day!
Then, on Tuesday, we have our Spelling Bee - featuring our class champions Isabel and Jasmine! We also will be making Gingerbread Houses that day!

And finally, on Wednesday is our class winter party!
Wow! I'm tired just TYPING all the stuff we have going on in December!
