As requested last night at Open House, I have added our daily schedule to the side bar of the blog for your convenience. In addition, due to our rotating resource schedule, I have included our resource days (PE, Music, Art, and Library) to the list of upcoming events. I have posted the dates through the end of September, and will update subsequent months as they become available.
Finally, you will find next week's Vocabulary List on the sidebar as well. Students received a copy of the words today, along with the definitions. Make sure they practice with the definitions indicated, as some words have more than one meaning. A link to the practice quiz will be posted on the same section of the blog sometime this weekend. Students will have until Thursday to take and pass the practice quiz for homework. They can retake the practice quiz as many times as they like to make sure they know the words.

Bridges and Islands
After a day of two hour-long reading tests yesterday, today we had a ton of hands on activities. In math, we played the first of many great math games. Then in science, students worked to build model bridges out of coffee stirs and then Popsicle sticks.
One of the strongest bridges was the ones built by Ava, Kaileb, and Karthik's group.
But the absolute strongest bridge was the one by Devyn, Michael, Nadelyn, and Kayla's group. It was so strong it could hold 6 HARDCOVER DICTIONARIES! Now that's a strong bridge!
In Social Studies, we painted the islands we made yesterday.
