Slime Lab

All this week, we've been combining materials to make physical and chemical changes to create different slimes and goos. Check out the slime we made today. You can make more of it at home with the following steps:

1. In one container, mix 1 part water with 1 part glue. Add a drop of food coloring for color.
2. In a second container, dissolve 1 part Borax powder into 1 part water.
3. Add the Borax solution to the glue solution and mix.
4. Knead slime with your fingers.

Former Superstar Jessica!

Another former Superstar stopped by to visit this afternoon. Although she doesn't look it, Jessica is actually 17 already! She was in my fourth and fifth grade class 6 years ago! All these former students visiting lately are making me feel old!

Alexis Pays a Visit

Former three-year Superstar, Alexis, stopped by to see me today after school.  She's in seventh grade now, and I was ecstatic (word of the day) to learn that she is in all honors classes and is excelling!  She's also been smart enough to steer clear of all the middle school "drama".  I'm so proud of Alexis for continuing to be a Superstar even after Beauclerc.

Fun Run

The Fun Run was loads of fun this afternoon.  Big thanks to PTA and Mr. Z for putting on a wonderful event!  And thanks also to Mrs. Stark for taking lots of great pictures while I ran with the class.
