Field Trip Reminders

A few reminders for Thursdays field trip to Diamond D Ranch.

•  Students need to be at school on time - 8:25 - so that we can transition in a timely manner to the buses and be ready to leave promptly.  Students who are late may miss the field trip.
• Students need to bring a bagged or boxed lunch to school Thursday to take on the field trip.
• Students should wear gym shoes and either jeans or shorts.  They will wear our class shirts which they will change into once at school. 
• Students should not bring money or cameras to the field trip. 
• Parent chaperones will need to drive separately and meet us at the ranch at 9:30.  
• Chaperones who wish to take their children with them when they leave will need to sign them out with me.

The Great Pumpkin Caper

After our pizza luncheon, we explored pumpkins through science and math. Students were surprised to learn that pumpkins actually float, regardless of their size, and that smaller pumpkins often have more seeds than larger ones.
