Gift Swap!

After eyeing the pile of gifts on the couch all week, the kids finally got to dig in at the gift swap. But it wasn't exactly what they were expecting.




Devyn thought he was getting an iPhone.


But ended up with a bag of glow-in-the-dark loom bands. Not too shabby.





Michael gets a football shaped salt and pepper shaker. He can use those for the Super Bowl party next summer (it's in the summer, right?).


Nikko went straight for the largest present.











And ended up with a bag of potatoes. Save those for Christmas dinner, Nikko!


Andrew didn't want to get stuck with something like the potatoes, so he stole Devyn's loom bands.


Devyn got to pick a new present.


And he got a bubble wand!





Addison got a (slightly used) copy of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone".





Adis was very lucky to get a bottle of Sparkling Ice Flavored Water and a Larabar Uber Bar. These are great treats. With zero calories and zero sugar, Sparkling Ice is a wonderful alternative to sugary sodas. And the Larabar, advertised on "The Biggest Loser", is a great snack, filled with protein, and low in sugars and carbs.





Levi got a Star Wars card game.





Hana got this statue thing.





Ronan was thrilled to get this realistic dinosaur toy.





And Shamar was just as excited to get this great Santa Claus mask.








Nadelyn was thrilled about this princess mask.





Kaileb stole Ronan's new pet dinosaur.






But Ronan got to pick a new present and he got this great can of creamed corn!


Chelsea takes the dinosaur off Kaileb's hands.








And Kaileb gets a wonderful, pink Santa hat, adorned (word of the day) with Disney princesses.

Kayla got a calendar of puppies!





Evan got some Halloween caution tape!








Bella got a fluffy teddy bear!





Rose had a tough time opening her present.




















But she was thrilled when she saw what was inside!





Ava got some gingerbread cookies!


Karthik decided to play it safe and steal the loom bands from Andrew.





But Andrew got a wooden tangram puzzle.





Aliya got a spinning, spiral, colored thing.


During our December auction, Devyn bought the right to choose first, which also gave him the right to steal anything he wanted at the end of the game. He went with the Harry Potter DVD.

But it was Ava who showed why she is such an awesome person when she voluntarily traded with Kaileb her gingerbread cookies for his Disney Princess hat. Way to be a great friend, Ava!
