Class Luncheon and Field Trip Next Week!

It's almost the end of our first full month of school - CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?? And that means it's time for our class luncheon!

Next Thursday, at 1:00 PM, we'll be having our first class luncheon. Ms. Harris and I will provide pizza for the classes. If you would like to bring in or send cookies, chips, or drinks for the class, please let me know ASAP!

Also, all parents, grandparents, and younger siblings (ones who aren't in school) are invited to join us for our luncheon! Please let me know if you plan on coming so we know how much pizza to order!

Then, on Friday, we're headed to the Marine Science Center! It's an all-day field trip where students will learn all about underwater life, and actually get to investigate real, live animals up close! The second part of the day is spent collecting shells at the beach!

To prepare for the field trip, all students need to make a jug to collect their shells. The jug needs to be made from a gallon milk jug (or any other gallon jug), with a large hole cut at the top. The jug should be decorated with paint, markers, and anything else the kids want to use to decorate it. The jug also needs to have the student's name printed somewhere on it.

We will be eating at the Marine Science Center, which means students will need to bring a bagged or boxed lunch to school that day. There is a small gift shop in which students can spend money, but they are solely responsible for any money that they bring with them.

Check your child's back pack for a permission slip for the Marine Science Center in the next couple of days!
