Density Experiments
Today, we learned about density and buoyancy - We investigated Coca-Cola and Diet Coke to find the differences and tried to figure out why Coke sinks while Diet Coke floats!
It all has to do with density and buoyancy. If an object is less dense than the liquid it's been placed in, it will float. If it is more dense, it will sink. The regular Coke is more dense than the Diet Coke because of the sugar that is in the Coke. Sugar is more dense than the chemical substitute.
