We will be having a School-Wide Fifth Grade Spelling Bee the week before Winter Break. On, December 12th, two students from each class will face off against each other to be the Fifth Grade Spelling Champion. Prior to that event, on Monday and Tuesday of that week, we will have a Spelling Bee of our own in the classroom to determine the two winners who will represent our class. Below is a link to a huge list of words. All the words that we use in the classroom will be from this list. We will begin with easy level words and work our way up to the hard words at the end of the list. By practicing with these words, you will have a much better chance of making it into the spelling bee and of winning the competition for the whole school.
In addition, the two finalists from our class will each earn $500 in Bonus Money and if they win the whole thing, they will earn an additional $1,000 in Bonus Money!
