A Wonderful First Week of School

We made it through the first week of school, and we've set the course for a great year. A lot of kids scored a high number of Dojo Points, but it was Addison who came out on top this week! Congrats, Addie!



Next week, now that we've finished most of the Start of the Year stuff, we'll be getting down to business! In science, students will be building their own model suspension bridge. In math, we'll be getting into some higher level addition and subtraction strategies that will pave the road for the Mental Math that my former Superstars mastered. We'll be starting our first social studies unit, focusing on geography. And in reading, we'll be starting our first novel study:



And don't forget, Open House is this coming Thursday at 6:00 PM. Be there and your kid can earn $100 in Bonus Money!
