Landforms and Bodies of Water

This week we began our first major social studies unit, a study of geography.  We learned about different types of landforms and bodies of water.  Today, after two hours of a long, boring test, we put our knowledge to work and built our very own islands, filled with mountains, peninsulas, plateaus, canyons, bays, rivers, lakes, and other things.  Check out some pictures of the first step.  Tomorrow, after they've dried, we'll be painting our islands.
